Randall C. Sorensen, CPA
Randall
Sorensen became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980, and
immediately began his career in public accounting. He gained
valuable forensic accounting and litigation experience for the Big
Eight accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand, and before that
worked as a Senior Auditor for Merabank (First Federal) and
Burlington Northern, and as an Auditor/Tax Consultant for Borowicz,
Holmgren, CPA’s in Minnesota. He established his own accounting
firm in November of 1987. Randall received his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business Administration from the University of North
Dakota.
Randall’s work in forensic accounting and expert testimony in the
impeachment proceedings of former Governor Evan Mecham (see
below), resulted in a commendation from the Speaker of the House
of Representatives for "outstanding service and contribution to
the Arizona State Legislature."
In addition to his accounting expertise, he is highly experienced in
litigation support activities, auditing, insurance claims,
economic loss, taxation and real estate issues, as well as serving
as consultant in the areas of management, investments, financial
reporting, tax planning, and joint ventures.
Mr. Sorensen’s current clients include the top five insurance companies and law firms. In addition to his forensic work, Randall has created cutting edge software to assist insurance adjustors, attorneys, and others in evaluating wage and business losses, as well as a tax return scoring program which analyzes an individual’s financial strength beyond a traditional credit history rating (www.ezdocrequest.com, www.ezdocdiscovery.com, www.lostwageassistant.com and www.taxreturnscore.com).
In
addition to providing tax and auditing services, Randall
Sorensen pursued his avid interest in forensic accounting. His
first expert witness testimony resulted in the impeachment of
then Governor Evan Mecham, as reported by the Arizona
Republic.

Randall has provided evaluations on over 1,200 bodily injury and commercial economic loss cases, and has testified as an expert witness more than 70 times. His specialty is focused on commercial litigation matters.
